中東の旅から、イスラーム建築・文化に大きな感銘を受けたオーナーが運営する、住宅外に小さく佇むカフェ。厳選した食材を手間暇かけて調理・提供しています。食を、語らいをたのしみ、ゆっくり過ごすことのできる、人に寄り添う町場カフェです。

Nestled in spaces away from the main house, this cafe was greatly inspired by Islamic structures and cultures the owner experienced while he travelled in Middle East. All ingredients underwent careful selection and fine cooking, and served. This is a café that allows people to relax, talk and enjoy food.

もとは車庫だった約15坪の空間をリノベーションしたプロジェクトです。イスラーム建築の特徴のひとつとも言えるアーチで小さな空間をさらに小さく区分していくと、窓から注ぎ込む自然光が緩和されます。柔らかな陰影のコントラストが心地良い空間は、食材本体の色彩も、調理した黄金色に輝く焼き色も鮮やかに演出してくれます。アーチはイスラーム建築の様式をいくつか模し形成、陰影に変化を与える工夫をすることで空間に変化を創出しました。これはお客様に窮屈さを感じさせない工夫のひとつです。

This project was a renovation of a roughly old 50m² garage. Using the arch, one of the characteristics of Islamic structures, the small space becomes even smaller, thus softening the natural light from the window. The comfortable space, illustrated by soft shadow and contract, allows the golden color of cooked food to stand out. Several Islamic arches were used to form difference in shadows, which was one of the technique to keep customers entertained during their stay.
